Awena Therapi is led by Lowri Brengain, a Welsh-speaking psychotherapist offering integrative support for adults, children and young people, parents and families, and couples across North Wales.
At times of uncertainty, stress, change, or when life feels heavy, having a steady space can help. My work is centred on helping people make sense of what’s going on, strengthen coping, and move forward at a pace that feels manageable.

My approach is integrative, drawing on psychoanalytical theories and training I’ve built over time, including EMDR. Sessions can be fully conversational, or we can bring in optional creative approaches if that feels supportive.
You don’t need to be “good at art”. Creativity is simply another option for exploring thoughts and feelings when words are hard to access.

My experience has focused on early intervention and therapeutic support, particularly with children and families. I’ve worked within a CAMHS service and local authority educational settings, alongside private practice work with adults and couples. Across these settings, my aim is consistent: to provide a safe, thoughtful space that helps people understand what they’re carrying and what might help next.
A background in creative practice shaped how I understand reflection, expression, and meaning.
Specialist psychotherapy training combining therapeutic theory with creative approaches.
Clinical experience supporting children and families within specialist mental health services.
Therapeutic support for children and young people within local authority and educational settings.
Integrative psychotherapy, with EMDR available where appropriate.
Growing a private service for individuals and families, alongside developing resources and workshops for education settings.
